Therapy and Counseling Fees

My standard fee for a one hour individual counseling session is $90.

Due to COVID-19, in-person counseling sessions are suspended indefinitely. I am currently conducting online sessions using a HIPAA-compliant, encrypted remote conferencing platform.

Once an initial appointment day and time is established, you will receive follow up information regarding setting up a Client Portal account and directions for signing in to the video conferencing platform. Both the Client Portal and the video conferencing platform are browser based so you are not required to download anything to your device. Clients have had success using computers, smartphone, and tablets for their online appointments.

Fees can be paid using all major credit cards, including MasterCard and Visa. Payments are due at the beginning of each appointment.

East Hill Counseling Services, LLC is a fee-for-service provider and does not participate in any insurance plans as an in-network provider.

In order to receive coverage for therapy services, insurance companies typically require a mental health diagnosis and will often determine the type of treatment and duration of services allowed for a specific diagnosis. Additionally, some personal information needs to be shared in order to process individual claims. I do not accept insurance payment because I value confidentiality and believe that therapy should be a collaborative process between the client and counselor without interference from a third party payer.

I do understand that it is sometimes necessary for families to utilize their insurance benefits, though. If you have Out-of-Network benefits, a Medical Flex Spending account, or a Health Savings Account, you may pay the standard fee at the time of service, and I can provide you with a monthly statement or "Super Bill" to provide to your insurance provider for reimbursement. Always check with your insurance provider in advance to clarify your benefits and reimbursement rates for therapy and counseling.

Your appointment time is established and held especially for you. If you miss your scheduled appointment, and you do not cancel twenty-four hours in advance, you will be responsible for the full cost of that appointment.
